Details about the College

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) was established under the protection of Nanka Sahib Education Trust (NSET) in 1956. The college is affiliated with Punjab University and has been ranked consistently among the first fifty engineering colleges of the country including IITs and NITs. GNDEC also runs seven Engineering branches (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BCA, BBA, and Architecture at UG level) and eleven PG level courses including MBA and MCA. The college also runs PG Diploma courses. At present, nearly 30,000 Graduates and 7500 Post Graduates have passed out from this college, and students are employed in high- profile jobs in India and abroad.

Admission procedure of GNDEC

Applications are invited by Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College for B Tech 1st year and the last date to apply for admission on July 18, 2022. The counseling process will begin from July 21, 2022.

Students are required to appear Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admissions to postgraduate degree programs in Management (MBA), LEET for Diploma holding students, and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

The opening times of the library are from 8;00 am to 10;00 pm on weekends and 9;00 am to 5;00 pm on Saturday. Students of GNDEC can also access the library through web OPAC at any area of the campus.

Hostel

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College provides a total of four Hostels : three for boys and one for girls with proper services and guidance under a warden.
