About Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University
Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University is a State University situated at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. This University was inaugurated in 1986. It was set up under Act No. 6 of the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly 1986. The first Chancellor of this University was a great personality Late Dr.N.T. Ramara, erstwhile Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
Now, 1271 colleges are affiliated with the University, which was 27 during its foundation.

The admission for the 2022 session in DR.Y.S.R. Horticultural University has opened for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Super Speciality, Doctoral Courses, and Post Doctoral fellowship courses in Dental, Homeopathy, Indian Systems of Medicine, Modern Medicine, and Paramedical Courses.
Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University B.Sc. and Diploma Admission
Firstly, applicants must have qualified for the Intermediate Examination of 12th Class, which is supervised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. Admission of applicants to B.Sc. will be based on AP EAMCET/AIEEA (15% seats)/HORTICET (15% seats for Diploma holders).
Applicants have to score at least 25% aggregate in AP EAMCET for admission to B.Sc., whereas there are no minimum criteria for reserve classes.
HORTICET contains 200 multiple choice questions, which are a two-hour test.
To get a diploma from Dr. Y.S.R. Horticulture University, applicants must have at least a 5.0 grade in the 10th Class from a recognized board.

To apply for M.Sc. from Dr. Y.S.R. Horticulture University, candidates must have passed 12th Class from a reputed board. They must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.
The admission for M.Sc. (Nursing) & MPT Courses will depend on the merit achieved in the passed examination.
Students can get direct admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) and MPT Courses without any Entrance Test.

For Ph.D. admission, the applicant should hold a master’s degree. Admissions to Ph.D. are based on the given criteria as follows:-
