Eligibility Criterion
Minimum 60% in 10+2 Senior School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
For scheduled caste/scheduled tribe (SC/ST), the student must have obtained 50% in the 10+2 Senior School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Exam Pattern
MBBS National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) is conducted every year by National Testing Agency (NTA). The details of the exam are as follows:
The mode of the exam is online. And the duration is given as 3 hours.
The total number of questions in Physics and chemistry is 45 questions each while biology has 90 questions.
Physics and chemistry have 25% weightage, whereas biology has 50% weightage.
For every correct answer, 4 marks are rewarded and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer
Unanswered or Unattempted questions do not carry any marks.
B.Sc (Honours) Nursing: The paper is of 2 hours in English Medium. There are 30 questions of Chemistry, Physics and Biology each and 10 questions of general knowledge.
Bachelor of Optometry and B.Sc (Honours) MTR: the duration of the exam is 1.5 hours and is a multiple choice question paper. The paper consists of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Each subject carries 30 marks each.
B.Sc (Post-Basic) Nursing: This course is conducted in two phases. The first phase is a written examination and the second phase is a personal interview.
The written examination consists of 70 MCQ and the duration of the paper is 1.5 hours.
The interview consists of 30 marks.
Admission Procedure
Admission for MBBS will be based on NEET scores conducted by NTA.
The common entrance examination is conducted for PG and Super Specialty Courses by AIIMS. The exam is a computer-based test (CBT).
Admission for PhD is done on any one of the following scores of entrance tests: Joint CSIR UGC NET (JRF), DBT (JRF), DBT (SRF), ICMR (JRF), ICMR (SRF), GATE.
The admissions for Foreign Nationals take place in AIIMS New Delhi.
