CLAT LLM, or Common Law Admission Test PG Exam, is a national-level entrance exam for postgraduate admissions to 22 NLUs. The CLAT Exam, which is administered by a consortium of NLUs, is accepted by a number of self-financed and commercial institutions. CLAT Exam is held once a year to provide possibilities to applicants seeking admission to law schools and colleges. In addition to NLU, over 50 private institutions and universities accept CLAT scores for admission.

CLAT Entrance Test Online Applications for both UG and PG Courses have been open since January 1, 2022. The deadline for submitting CLAT 2022 application forms has been extended to May 9, 2022, according to a recent update. To submit your online form, click the link below.

How to Complete the CLAT 2022 Application Form

Step-I Register by putting in necessary details such as your name, email address, and phone number.

Step-II Fill out the rest of the application form, including personal, academic, and contact information.

Step-III Scan signatures, photographs, and other documents to be uploaded.

Step-IV Fill out the rest of the application form, including personal and qualification information, as well as a preference for NLUs.

Step-V Complete the application form and pay the application cost.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2022

CLAT 2022 eligibility criteria cover the rules and conditions that a candidate must meet in order to appear in CLAT 2022, based on the program (UG/PG) to which the candidate is applying for admission to Law School.

Eligibility criteria: UG program

  • Education Qualification: The candidate must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized institution or board to be eligible for the UG program.

  • To appear in CLAT 2022, you must have a minimum of 45 percent in your qualifying degree. ST and SC candidates simply require 40% to pass.

  • There are no upper age restrictions.

Eligibility criteria: PG program

  • Education: The candidate must have completed an LLB or equivalent exam from a recognised university.

  • Candidates from the General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI categories must have a minimum of 55 percent or its equivalent in order to be considered. SC/ST applicants are eligible for a 5% minimum mark relaxation.

  • There are no upper age restrictions.

CLAT Admit Card 2022

CLAT admit cards will be available 15 days prior to the exam. Candidates can only get their admission cards through the internet. Candidates must log in using their login credentials in order to download. On the day of the examination, candidates must carry their admit cards.

The admit card will include information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, and location, as well as exam-related instructions.  

Exam Pattern for CLAT 2022

  • The following text contains information about the CLAT 2022 Exam Pattern:

  • CLAT 2022 exam will be conducted in an offline (pen-paper-based) format.

  • Time Limit: Candidates will have two hours to finish the exam.

  • The examination will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and subjective-type questions.

  • There will be 150 questions in the UG test and 120 questions in the PG exam.

  • Questions will be asked in English as the medium of communication.

  • The marking scheme is as follows: 1 mark for each right answer. 0.25 points will be removed for each incorrect response.

CLAT Application Procedure

Candidates must take the CLAT 2022 online entrance exam, which will be held by NUALS Kochi this year, in order to gain admission to one of the 22 participating NLUs.

Following that, after the results are announced, the candidates will be assigned a seat in the NLU’s preference order (as indicated on the online application form), based on seat availability and merit list.

As a result, the CLAT 2022 selection process will be divided into three stages:

1. Online Assessment

2. Counseling

3. Merit List

CLAT 2022 offers a variety of courses.

On the basis of CLAT scores, the National Law Universities (NLUs) in India (excluding the NLU Delhi) and other prominent law universities offer admission to five-year integrated LLB and LLM programs. The following courses are available:

1. BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts LLB)

2. BSc LLB (Bachelor of Science LLB)

3. BCom LLB (Bachelor of Commerce LLB)

4. BBA LLB (Bachelor of Business Administration LLB)

5. BSW LLB (Bachelor of Social Work LLB)

6. LLM (Master of Laws)

Syllabus for CLAT 2022

Candidates taking the CLAT exam should be familiar with the exam syllabus. CLAT syllabus is listed here, section by section.

English (including comprehension), General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning are the six parts of the CLAT Syllabus.

Candidates are encouraged to read the entire CLAT syllabus in the information pamphlet. The following are some of the topics covered in each section:

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs: It covers a wide range of topics, including basic general knowledge, current events and occurring, national and international current affairs, and much more.

  • English including comprehension: It covers themes like comprehension of the passage and its major idea, the meaning of terms used in it, and filling in the spaces.

  • Mathematics: The candidate’s understanding of elementary mathematics will be tested in this part.

  • Legal Aptitude: It will include themes including law school, research aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

  • Logical Reasoning: This section covers a wide range of logical reasoning topics, including syllogisms, logical sequences, and analogies, among others.

Result of CLAT 2022

 

Once the exam is completed successfully, the authority will declare the CLAT 2022 result. CLAT results are only available online for candidates. The roll number, candidate details, and the candidate’s marks will be included in the outcome. A applicant must acquire minimum qualifying marks to sit for the CLAT exam.
