About COMEDK UGET 2022

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) is an autonomous body that organises the Undergraduate Entrance Test nationally for students applying for BE/B.Tech courses at unaided private Engineering colleges in Karnataka. The exam is MCQ-based online CBT.

COMEDK UGET is not applicable for studying and applying for B.Arch courses. Although COMEDK conducts counselling sessions for admission in B.Arch colleges based on the NATA scores.

COMEDK UGET 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for COMEDK UGET are as follows:

  • Age: There is no upper age limit. Students passing the 12th-grade exam can apply.

  • Qualification: 

  1. B.Tech: Students need to pass 12th grade with English, Chemistry, Physics and Maths as core subjects. Students in the general category need to score at least 45% marks in 12th grade to be eligible. Students from minority categories (SC, ST, OBC etc) need to secure 40% marks.

  2. B.Arch: Students taking admission for the B.Arch course via COMEDK UGET counselling need to qualify for the NATA. They must also pass the 12th grade or anything equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as main subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (45% marks for SC, ST and OBC applicants)

If students don’t fulfil the above criteria, they need to pass the 10+3 Diploma exam with Maths as a core subject. Here too, students need an aggregate score of 50%. (45% marks for SC, ST and OBC students)

 

COMEDK UGET 2022: Exam Pattern

COMEDK UGET is an online CBT-based exam. The paper will be of MCQ type with 180 questions in total. Total marks will be 180. The exam will be conducted entirely in English. There is no negative marking. The total time will be 3 hours. Each question will carry one mark. However, in the case of a tie-in mark between two students, the person with less number of wrong answers will be considered. The marks distribution per subject are

  • Physics (60 questions, 60 marks)

  • Chemistry (60 questions, 60 marks)

  • Maths (60 questions, 60 marks)

 

COMEDK UGET 2022: Syllabus

There is no specific syllabus. However, the standard of the questions will be of 11th and 12th grade CBSE level. Students can prepare for COMEDK UGET by studying their standard 11th and 12th-grade textbooks. 

 

COMEDK conducts official mock tests. They take 7 mock tests in total before the main exam to prepare the students. Applicants can access the mock tests from the official website of COMEDK. Apart from this, students can also practise previous year’s questions.

 

COMEDK UGET 2022: Application Process

Students can avail of the application form on the official website. The application fee is Rs 1800. One can pay the money either via debit card, credit card or net banking. To complete the application process, students have to register themselves on the official website of COMEDK, fill in the necessary details in the form and submit it. There will be a correction window (of 2 days) for students who have made mistakes while filling out the application form. They can correct it within this time frame.

COMEDK UGET 2022: Admit Card

Students can download the admit card from the official website. It will be available till the day before the exam. (18th June 2022) Students need to download it and take a print-out of it. It is mandatory to bring the admit card to the exam centre as it acts as a student verification ID. The authority won’t allow anyone to take the exam without the admit card. The following details of a student will be present on the admit card:

  • Exam Date and Day

  • Exam Venue

  • Student’s Name and DOB

  • Student’s Roll Number

 

COMEDK UGET 2022: Result

COMEDK will declare the results on their official website on the 5th of July 2022. Students can download their scorecards by logging into their accounts. Students need to carry this scorecard during the Counselling session. The seat allotment in colleges will be decided based on this rank list.

No. But they can attend the Counselling session with the NEET scores. Same for B.Arch students. They can attend the counselling session with NATA scores.

 

  1. What are the exam timings of COMEDK UGET?

The exam will have 2 slots. 9 am to 12 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

 

  1. Is there any negative marking in this exam?

No. There is no negative marking. One mark for each correct answer. If two students have tie-in marks, then the ones with the least number of wrong answers will be considered.

 

  1. How many colleges will accept COMEDK UGET scores?

Around 118 colleges will accept COMEDK UGET scores. 

 

  1. Where can I check my results?

COMEDK will announce the results on the official website on the 5th of July 2022. Students can log in to their accounts and download the scorecard.
