The University is recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) under section 2f. National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited DPharm. BPharm and MPharm (Pharmacology) at DIPSAR, one of the constituent colleges of the University. Various courses of the University are approved by statutory bodies like the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (DCPOT).

Admission to the Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University

Except for Ph.D. applicants, who must send a completed application to the university office, the admissions procedure at DPSRU is entirely online.

 

Admission to the BPharm and DPharm programs is based on Class 12 grades. For MA, MSc, MPA, MFA, and MTech, candidates must pass the postgraduate entrance test (PGAT).

A valid GPAT score is required for admission to the MPharm and MBA (Pharm) programs. Candidates who do not qualify for the GPAT must take the University’s PGAT.

Ph.D. admission is based on a DPSRU entrance exam followed by a personal interview (PI). Candidates who have passed JRF/ SRF or NET/ GATE/ GPAT/ SLET do not need to take the admission exam.

 

Courses at the University of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research in Delhi

The university offers DPharm, BPharm, BSc (Sports Science), and PG courses in Cosmeceuticals, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy, and Quality Assurance, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Clinical Research, among other specializations.

DPSRU Application Process

Candidates must go to DPSRU’s official website and fill out an online application form to apply for the BPharm, BPT, and DPharm programs. The application cost is Rs 1,000, and it may be paid with a credit/debit card or using online banking.

  • Certificate from the last school you attended on a provisional basis
  • After graduating Class 12, proof of a gap period is required (if any)

  • a medical certificate from a doctor with a master’s degree (at least MBBS)

DPSRU Scholarships and Funding 

Scholarship 1

 Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes CS- to OBC (PMSOBC), SC (PMS-SC), ST (PMS-ST), and Minorities [Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain, and Zoroastrians (Parsis)] students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and whose annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.

 

Scholarship 2 

For professional and technical degrees, merit-based scholarships are available. CS – Scholarships will be given to students who have enrolled in technical/professional courses at the UG/PG level, have received at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the previous final examination, and whose parents/guardians’ yearly income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh.
