About Dravidian University

Dravidian University is a public university that first opened its doors in 1997.

Dravidian University offers

Note: These programs only accept students once a year.

 It also provides courses via distance education. The Directorate of Remote Education of Dravidian University was founded in 2008 in the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh to provide superior distance education. DDE provides undergraduate programs in B.A., B.Com., BBA, BCA, B. Lib., and B.Sc., as well as graduate programs in M.A., MCA, M. Com, M.Sc., MBA, M. Lib., and PG Diploma. Admission to all of these courses is based on the students’ performance on the qualifying exams. Offline mode can be used to fill out application forms.

Mode of Admission in U.G.

The following U.G., Certificate, Diploma, and P.G. Diploma Courses do not require an entrance exam.

Except for B.Ed., Ed.CET, TPT, LPCET, and B.P.Ed., PECET, B.Ed, Ed.CET.

Please keep the following eligibility criteria in mind while accepting UG candidates to various courses of study:

  • Candidates for admission to B.Sc. Computer Science combined should have studied Mathematics in high school.

  • Candidates must have passed Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in the qualifying examination to be admitted to a B.Sc., Degree Course with Biology/Zoology/Biochemistry/ Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology as one of the courses under Part-II.

  • Students who passed Commerce/Arts subjects in their qualifying examination should be given priority for admission to the B.Com degree program, though all students are eligible.

  • Students who passed Arts subjects in their qualifying examination should be given priority for admission to the B.A degree program, though all students are eligible.

  • Students who passed the Commerce subject in their qualifying examination should be given priority for admission to the BBM., Degree Course, though all students are eligible.

Library

 

Any civilized society’s backbone and the beating heart of any academic institution are libraries. As a result, Dravidian University’s central library gains a significant position among students and professors. 

The Dravidian University Library System is made up of a Central Library that supports the institution’s teaching, research, and extension programs in general, as well as promotes Dravidian studies in particular in the fields of comparative Dravidian literature and translation studies, religion, culture, indigenous science, and national integration. After becoming a member of the library, all students, faculty members, and workers of the institution are eligible to utilize the facilities.

 

Computer Center:

 The Computer Center, housed in the Basava Bhavan, Dravidian University, Kuppam, and connected by a powerful high-speed network, was established using UGC funds. It houses state-of-the-art computing systems, and sophisticated software packages, and is connected by a powerful high-speed network.

Facilities available in the Computer Center:

  • 68 Desktop Computers with High-Speed Internet Access Facility

  • One Seminar Hall with LCD Projector

  • Two Printers

Hostels for Men and Women

On the Dravidian University Campus, there are separate Hostels for men and women. Accommodation will be provided for all female students. Men have fewer options for lodging, and both men’s and women’s hostels have Wi-Fi. Hostel accommodations are available to any students who live within a 20-kilometer radius of Dravidian University. Admission will be granted, however, based on the distance from their hometown and the availability of lodging.

 National Service Scheme:

Other Facilities:

  • Language Research Center

The laboratory is utilized to help students improve their English communication skills as well as to present audio-visual resources. The lab offers 40 multimedia PCs with a wide range of software to help students improve their communication abilities. The lab provides students with useful, hands-on experience-based instruction. Students will feel confident that they have learned the necessary abilities to become a professional in any area after completing the lab instruction.

  •  Counseling Center for Students

Every university student will be supervised by a teacher who will serve as his or her mentor.

  • Internal Quality Control Unit

The institution established the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) to oversee the university’s academic and administrative activities.

A large and lovely canteen built next to a lotus pond has all of the modern conveniences.
