What is the hcpet exam?
The Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is a state-level exam that is used to select candidates for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Himachal Pradesh’s colleges.
HPCET is a test that is used to offer admission to various UG and PG courses at Himachal Pradesh’s technical and professional colleges. BHMCT, BBA, B.Tech, B.Pharma, BCA, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, M.Sc, MBA and MCA are the courses to which candidates can gain admission through the exam.
The Exam is conducted in offline mode. There are a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions. With the time duration of 3 hours.
Eligibility criteria
All candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria as per the rules and regulations of AICTE for appearing in HCPET 2022.
Candidates should pass 10+2 exams from a renowned board school with a minimum of 45% marks for the general category. For reserved category candidates, 40% must be required.
Candidates should know about Physics and maths compulsorily, with chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Subjects in 12th.
2022 Application Forms Released
On April 21, 2022, the HPCET 2022 Application Form will be available. HPCET 2022 applications will be accepted until June 18, 2022. All candidates applying for the exam must ensure that they meet the HPCET eligibility requirements. Before filling out the HPCET application form, candidates should read the entire information brochure. The following is a step-by-step guide to completing the online application form:
Registration: Fill in all the details in the registration forms that will open on your computer. Enter Name, Username, Password. Then re-enter your password to confirm it. Enter Your Date Of Birth, Email Address and mobile number. You will receive a mail with a system generated application number along with your name. Verify it and keep it safe for further reference.
Application Form: Login again into your account and fill in the details asked in the form. Enter :

Save the application form and proceed further.
Photograph & Signature: Upload your passport size image. Scan your signature into the required size and upload it to the form.
Confirmation: If u have filled all the details re-check it once. You will get three choices, either you want to edit the form or you want to submit it. Do Not submit the form until you have processed your payment. After checking the details you may proceed with payment.
Payment procedure: You can pay online or offline. With two options available:
“Offline Link to generate PNB Challan”
“Online Fee Payment Link”
Usually, you can pay online through UPI ID by Paytm or Gpay or else you can use your Card Details to pay.
Application Fee:
For SC, ST and BPL categories the fee for the exam is Rs.1,400. And for other categories the fees for the exam is Rs.1,550.
Downloading Admit card
On April 21, 2022, the application forms will be available. The applications will be accepted until June 18, 2022. Before filling out the HPCET application form, candidates should read the entire information brochure.
After the Admit cards are released, go to the HPCET Official Website. Enter your name, Application No and Program Name. Click on ‘ Submit ‘. Admit cards will be displayed on the screen. Open the file and download it.

Counselling Documents
Class XII and Class X certificates
The board marksheets for classes XII and X.
The date of birth can be found on a birth certificate or matriculation/higher secondary/Indian school certificates.
Scorecard for JEE Main/HPCET.
A letter of recommendation from the head from the last institution you attended.
The concerned authority issues a bonafide/domicile certificate.
If applicable, a reserved category certificate issued by the competent authority.
If applicable, a physically challenged certificate issued by the competent authority.
If you apply for a tuition fee waiver, the competent authority will issue you an income certificate.
If applying under the Beti Hai Anmol Scheme, an affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate is required.
If applying under the Kashmiri migrant quota, they must have a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.
