Solution: When the hormone adrenaline is released into the blood it reaches different organs of the body. The target organ for its action is the heart. As a result, the heart rate becomes faster resulting in a greater supply of oxygen to our muscles.

The blood supply to the digestive system and skin is also decreased due to the contraction of muscles found around the small arteries present in these organs. This results in the flow of blood to skeletal muscles.

Contraction of the diaphragm and rib muscles results in an increase in breathing rate. These animal hormones are part of the endocrine system which forms a second means of control and coordination in our body.
