IGNOU is looking for one full-time consultant in German for the School of Foreign languages at IGNOU. The position will be on a contractual basis for six months. It may extend depending on the requirement of the University.
Job Description of a Consultant
The job of the consultant will include the design, delivery and development of academic programmes in German. Academic programmes imply
Writing.
Editing.
Preparing Audio Visual materials.
Reviewing course materials.
Conducting interactive counselling through Social Media platforms, Radio and Television.
Coordinating with Regional Centres and Learner Support Centres.
Assisting the Programme Coordinator with day to day activities related to course development and maintenance.
IGNOU Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Students need a Master’s degree in the German language with at least 55% marks for General category people and 50% marks for students belonging to the minority category.
IGNOU will prefer it if students with a PhD in the German language have two years of teaching experience.
IGNOU will also accept students with NET (National Eligibility Test) in German.
Selection Process
IGNOU will select the students. Only those that they select can appear for an interview. No allowance will be paid to the students for appearing for the interview.
Salary of the Consultant
The remuneration will be Rs 40000 to Rs 60000 per month.

No. You can only apply if you have a Master’s degree.
Will IGNOU permanently hire me after the contract is over?
There is no guarantee of getting hired. They may extend the contract but it will likely remain a contract.
Is having experience in teaching compulsory?
No. It’s just an added preference. A simple PhD in the German language or a NET in teaching will suffice too.
Will the interview be online or offline?
It will be offline at the university in Delhi.
