How to get admission to IIMC?
The selection of candidates in the post-graduate diploma courses will be based on their performance in the entrance exam at different centers around the country conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Furthermore, there will be a Group Discussion and Interview round.
The selection of candidates in the Diploma Course in Development Journalism will be based on the candidate’s academic qualification and experience.
The candidate should follow the steps given below to apply for admission:
The eligible candidates have to apply by filling up the online Application Form on the official website (An applicant can apply for a maximum of five courses).
After filling out the form, the candidate should continue by paying the Application Fee through the payment gateway link provided on the site.
Exam Pattern:
There will be two Entrance Tests on the same day at different time intervals.
The first will be for 4 courses other than regional language journalism.
The second will be for Regional Language Journalism courses.

Result:
A list of candidates who will be provisionally admitted to IIMC campuses will be prepared based on the merit list as per course/seat allocation criteria which will be published on NTA (https://nta.ac.in/) and IIMC websites www.iimc.gov.in accordingly.
The allocation of the Campus for the candidates of English Journalism will be based on the Merit list then their Preference. Further rounds of results would be announced depending on the number of admissions that will be secured.
Accommodation:
Hostel: There are limited facilities available in the hostels of the IIMC New Delhi campus (for both Girls and Boys). In the allotment of hostel rooms/beds, preference would be given to students coming from outside the city and also those belonging to economically/socially weaker sections.
Wellness Center and Yoga: A Wellness Center is available at IIMC New Delhi in which general physicians visit every week. There is no charge for consultation for students. Apart from this, training sessions are also organized regularly on Yoga.
Scholarships:
The scholarship for a girl student of Hindi Journalism will be based on her performance in the entrance test called ‘Rati Aggarwal Scholarship’.
The scholarship for a deserving student of Radio & TV Journalism will be based on the performance in the entrance test and is named as ‘Star TV Scholarship’.
The scholarship for 2 deserving students of Advertising and Public Relations will be based on their performance in the entrance exam and the final course completion result is named as ‘Achin Ganguly Scholarship’.
There is another scholarship for 2 deserving students which is named as ‘Jaswinder Singh Memorial Scholarship’ and it will be awarded to one student from Hindi Journalism and another from Radio & TV Journalism, based on their performance in the entrance exam.
