What does KVS mean?
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a self-governed organization that recruits teaching and non-teaching staff for the post of PRT, TGT and PGT in all KVS schools across the nation. Up until August 2021, this organization has established 1248 schools in India and 3 abroad in Moscow, Tehran, and Kathmandu. Under the KVS umbrella(HQ) with 25 Regional Offices and 05 ZIETs, this organization is one of the world’s largest and finest school blocks.
The Vidyalaya also has several committees dedicated to the holistic development of students as well as the proper upkeep of the school grounds and system. The VMC (Vidyalaya Management Committee), which is in charge of all committees, is the most important. The headquarters in New Delhi oversees all the national schools for education, development, welfare etc.
What does PRT, TGT and PGT posts mean?
Primary Teacher is the full form of PRT. A primary teacher teaches students in grades one to five.
TGT means Trained Teacher who has finished his/her respective training. There is no course for TGT, but a graduate who has been trained in the field of education as a teacher can opt for this posting. It is someone who is a graduate and has completed his B.Ed.
Teaching is a holy and respected profession. So, those who want to or have made teaching their career choice can visit take this test and apply for one of the posts. Post Graduate Teacher abbreviated as PGT.
Why the TET Exam?
TET stands for Teachers Eligibility Test, administered by both the federal and state governments to select teachers for schools and colleges to provide better education. UPTET, OTET, WBTET, and TNTET are state-level exams. CBSE administers CTET at the national level. The exams are conducted as per rules and regulations by the National Council Of Teachers Education guidelines. One can also go for CTET mock tests for practice tests.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will release admission forms soon on the official website. Every year, thousands of candidates sit for the KVS Exam. Last year, in 2018, KVS published the Notification for Teaching Post. In 2018, the KVS exam held in December to fill a total of 8000+ vacancies for PGT/ TGT/ PRT positions.
This year KVS revealed that there will be more than 9000+ positions available for the post of PGT, TGT, and PRT. Which includes 4069 for PGT, 3549 for TGT and 1775 for PGT.
