L’Oréal Scholarships is started by the L’Oréal foundation to lend a financial hand to all the meritorious and laudable women of India to pursue their degree in any science field. This has been started by the L’Oréal group to support women education, which at times would be discontinued when there is lack of financial assistance.
Till now, it has empowered almost 400 women who were from economically deprived families. So this article will cover all the information of eligibility criteria, application process, benefits regarding this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a citizen of India
- Candidates have passed their intermediate or 12th standard from science stream only
- Candidates must have passed their intermediate or 12th standard from any recognized board of the country
- Candidates must have scored at least 85% in their 12th board examination (PCM/PCMB/PCB)
- Candidates who have a gap of one year after their 12th examination are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
- Family income of a candidate shall not exceed more than 4 lakh per annum
- Candidates must have taken admission in undergraduate course in any science field from any recognized institute of the country
- Candidates must have their admission letter ready from their respective colleges
- Age of the candidates shall not exceed 19 years at the time of application process
Required documents
- Class 10th marksheet
- Class 12th marksheet
- Admission letter attested by college
- Fees Receipt attested by college
- Identity cum age proof (Aadhar Card, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID etc)
- Guardian’s income certificate issued by the government body
- Salary slip from a current or previous employer
- Income-Tax return form ( Form No. 16)
- Candidates own bank account number
- Passbook copy with printed bank account details
- IFSC code attested by bank
- Blank cheque with word CANCELLED written on it
Selection Procedure
- Candidates shall submit their application form
- Shortlisting of the candidates
- Telephonic interview of all the shortlisted candidates
- Telephonic interview will be conducted through video conference
- Jury round
- Jury round shall be conducted through video conference or video call with the candidate
- One of the guardian/parents shall attend the jury round along with the candidate
- Results shall be announced within the 30 days of the completion of Jury round
Benefits
- All the selected candidates shall be awarded INR 2,50,000 for their academic expenses during their course duration
- Scholarship amount shall be awarded in equal installments against the proof of academic promotion with each passing year
