Solution:Archegonia is present in Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, and Gymnosperms.
Life cycle of bryophytes
-Gametes formed by bryophytes are haploid
-The male sex organ, antheridium produce antherozoids
-Female sex organ,archegonium produce egg
-In water, antheridium combines with archegonium to form a zygote
-Zygote then reduce to form sporophyte,a multicellular body
-Reduction of sporophyte results in the formation of spores
–Germination of spores results in the formation of a sporophyte
