NEET PG 2022 Results: Background
The results for the NEET PG exam taken on 21st May 2022 are out now. The results were declared 10 days later on 1st June 2022. Over 2 lacs MBBS graduates took this examination, out of which only 42k will qualify. Based on the scores, 26.1k students will be eligible for MD (Doctor of Medicine), 13.6k for MS (Master of Surgery), 922 for PG Diploma and 1.3k for DNB seats.
Students can check their results for NEET PG 2022 on the official website of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The total marks were 800. The cut off for general and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category students were 275 out of 800. For SC/ST/OBC category students, the cut off was 245/800. For PwD students, it was 260/800.
There were two incorrect questions (they had more than one answer), for which NBEMS declared that all students get full marks on those two questions, even if they didn’t attempt them. Last year, 1.60 lacs attempted the exam, out of which 89.5k students qualified.

NEET PG 2022 Results: Details
The scorecard of NEET PG 2022 will be valid for only a year. Students can download the scorecard by logging in to the NBEMS website. NBE will release a merit list for 50% of seats of All India Quota (AIQ) students. The merit list will mention the student’s AIR (All India Rank), category rank, percentile etc. Based on this merit list, colleges will call students for admission counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will also conduct counselling sessions for 50% AIQ, 50% state quota seats, central universities etc.
