Cell theory is proposed by scientists Schleiden and Schwann.But they are failed to explain about formation of new cells.Scientist Rudolf Virchow in 1855 first described formation of new cells from pre-existing cells.Now modified form of cell theory is

  • All the living organisms are formed of cells and products of cells.

  • All the cells formed  from pre-existing cells.

Living organisms are formed of millions of cells.It is the smallest unit of life.Cell is surrounded by a cell membrane.The fluid that fills inside of the cell is called cytoplasm.Cell organelles of cell include nucleus,mitochondria,endoplasmic reticulum,Golgi complex etc.
