Phylum Arthropoda:-
Phylum Arthropoda is the largest Kingdom of Animalia which includes insects.
It includes two-thirds of all named species on earth are arthropods.
Arthropods are organized at the organ system level.
Arthropods are bilaterally symmetrical.
They have triploblastic
Arthropods are segmented, The body consists of the head, thorax and abdomen also have jointed appendages.
Arthropods are coelomate animals.
Respiratory system:- They have gills, book gills, book lungs, or tracheal system.
Sensory organs:– They have antennae, eyes (compound and simple), statocysts, or balance organs are present.
Excretory organs:- Excretion takes place through malpighian tubules or green glands.
They have no brain.
Arthropods have no cilia.
Reproduction:- Arthropods have mostly dioecious. Fertilization takes place internal. They are mostly oviparous. Development may be direct or indirect.
Apis (Honey bee), Bombyx (Silkworm), Laccifer (Lac insect), Anopheles, Culex, and Aedes (Mosquitoes), Locusta (Locust), Limulus (King crab), and others are examples of Phylum Arthropods.
