Introduction
Every year, Politecnico di Milano awards several merit-based scholarships to the most brilliant foreign candidates admitted to a Master of Science program in the first or second semester, thanks to the collaboration with public and commercial partners. A non-refundable administrative fee of around €200 will be charged to students who receive a scholarship.
All approved students who submit a complete dossier (including a language certificate by the deadline) will be automatically eligible for the merit-based awards that are available (there is no separate application for scholarships). The Politecnico di Milano offers three types of scholarships:
PLATINUM Scholarships are worth a total of 10.000€ per year and include a tuition price remission. After taxes, the amount of each scholarship will be paid to the beneficiary’s bank account in two or three installments every year. Only an administrative fee will be charged to the student.
GOLD Scholarships are worth 5.000€ per year and include free tuition expenses. After taxes, the amount of each scholarship will be paid to the beneficiary’s bank account in two or three installments every year. Only an administrative fee will be charged to the student.
Scholarships SILVER
Covers the complete amount of costs for the academic year, similar to a tuition fee waiver. Only an administrative fee will be charged to the student.
Each year, the number of Platinum, Gold, and Silver scholarships offered changes.
There are a limited number of Platinum scholarships available, as well as a greater number of Gold and Silver scholarships.
Assignment criteria for scholarships
The selection criteria are based on an assessment of your prior education and how well it matches the standards for our Laurea Magistrale programs. GPA (grade point average) and academic achievements (including, if desired, a portfolio) are critical. Finally, a well-written motivation letter will help the Scholarship Awarding Committee make a favorable judgment.
