What is Sitaram Jindal Scholarship?
Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is a scheme which provides scholarships every year to students from all parts of India, who are meritorious but financially weak. It was started by Sitaram Jindal Foundation (SJF), a charitable organization based in Bengaluru, which aims to serve the poor section of the society in various aspects. SJF was first established in 1969 and it is one of the most popular international NGOs.
Eligibility criteria for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship
For this scholarship scheme, the foundation has divided the eligibility criteria into five different categories. It is listed below:
Category A:
This category is for students studying in class 11th or 12th
Minimum percentage required for boys is 60% (70% in case of Karnataka and 65% West Bengal students).
Minimum percentage required for girls is 55% (65% in case of Karnataka and 60% West Bengal students).
Category B:
This category is for students who are studying International Training Institutes courses.
Minimum percentage required in the last exam is 45% for boys and 35% for girls.
Category C:
This category is for students who are pursuing Graduate or Post Graduate courses.
For graduate courses, the minimum percentage required for boys is 55% (65% for Karnataka and 60% West Bengal students).
Minimum percentage required for girls is 50% (60% for Karnataka and 55% West Bengal students).
For post graduate courses, the minimum percentage required for boys is 60% (65% for Karnataka students).
Minimum percentage required for girls is 55% (60% for Karnataka Students).
Category D:
This category is for students who are pursuing diploma courses.
Minimum percentage required for boys is 55% and for girls is 50%.
Category E:
This category is for students who are studying in Engineering or Medical courses.
Minimum percentage required for boys is 75%.
Minimum percentage required for girls is 60%.

Application process
Even though the application process for Sitaram Jindal Foundation is both online and offline, the online service is currently unavailable right now.
