South Asian University (SAU) is a university that aims to become the focal point for the socio-development of the students and the region. It was established in 2010 in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It is an international university. The university is affiliated with two organizations namely, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). How to get admission to SAU?
Candidates need to pass the entrance test to get admission to all postgraduate courses at SAU.
For admission in the Ph.D. program, the eligible candidates need to clear the entrance test along with the personal interview round of SAU.

Complete the application process by paying the application fee of INR 740/-
The entrance test is organized in offline mode at different SAARC centers by the university. The application fee for all courses is the same as INR 740/- and applications for entrance are accepted through the online mode of payment or by bank draft.
Eligibility Criteria:
The interested candidates need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the entrance exam in SAU postgraduate courses.
Accommodation:
Hostel: Rooms are provided only to those candidates who come from outside Delhi(NCR). Each room of 14 ft. x 15 ft. in size, has an attached bathroom, a bed, a table, and a chair in it. Hostel fee per semester is INR 4,446/-.
Mess: Charges for mess range between INR 3,705 to INR 5,558.
Medical facilities: SAU has its health center. Moreover, students are covered under the Medical Group Insurance Scheme up to INR 1,50,000 for which the full premium is paid by the University.
Entrance test preparation:
Applicants can download the sample questions from the website of the university and start their preparation accordingly.
Each exam is for 2 hours and consists of objective-type questions. One thing to remember is that there is a negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
