Solution: The following are the weaknesses of the survey method:
(i) Using a survey method, it is impossible to obtain precise information.
(ii) There are a lot of responses, and the amount of time spent with each one is limited.
(iii) Once the questionnaire has been completed and transmitted, the comprehensive answers that require detailed prompting cannot be requested again.
(iv) Errors in the survey could be introduced as a result of the discrepancies in how the questions are asked and answered.
(v) Personal and sensitive questions are not permitted. If the question is posed, the respondents will almost certainly react in a safe manner. This will result in a survey mistake.
