Solution-The following are some of the forest conservation measures that can be implemented:

The indiscriminate and unauthorized cutting of forest trees for timber trade and firewood should be stopped immediately.

In the case of government authorized cutting of forest trees, for every acre of forest cut down, an equal area of land should be planted with saplings of trees for the compensation of loss in the long run.

Overgrazing of forest vegetation by the cattle of local people should be controlled.

Forest fire prevention and control should be prioritized.

The local people of villages in and around the forest should be involved in the conservation of forests by giving employment in silviculture and harvesting operation of the forest.

Afforestation should opt, it is the most important approach towards forest conservation. (Afforestation is the process of growing plants in an area where there was no plantation. It is the method to create a new forest).

Awareness about the importance of forests must be created among the people.
