TANATA stands for Tamil Nadu Aptitude Test in Architecture. As the name suggests, it is a state-level entrance exam taken by Anna University for students applying for the B.Arch course. Colleges providing the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) course in Tamil Nadu accept students with the TANATA score.

TANATA 2022: Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for students taking this exam:
Students should score at least 50% in 12th grade or anything equivalent with Maths as a core subject.
Applicants with a 10+3 diploma in any discipline that is recognized by either Central or State Government with at least 50% marks in Maths.
Applicants with an International Baccalaureate with a minimum of 50% marks overall. Maths has to be a core subject with at least 10 years of schooling.
TANATA 2022: Application Process
Students who meet the eligibility criteria can register themselves for the exam by signing up on the official website of TANATA. The application fee will be Rs 2000 for students in the general category and Rs 1000 for students in the minority categories. Students will require a scanned passport-sized photograph along with other documents while filling out the application form. They can pay the application fee via debit card, credit card or net banking.
TANATA 2022: Exam Pattern
TANATA is an offline exam in pencil. It will be an MCQ-based paper. Students will mark the answers on the OMR sheet. An answer will be incorrect if applicants don’t mark it properly on the OMR sheet.
The exam is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. The total time given to complete both the parts are 180 minutes. 2 marks will be awarded for each correct question. The distribution of the two sections and the marks allotment are described below:

TANATA 2022: Admit Card
Anna University will release the admit card in November 2022. Applicants should keep checking the official website for updates as the University won’t inform the students when they release the admit card. Students will need to download the admit and take a print-out of it. It’s mandatory to carry it in the exam centre. Without an admit card, students can’t give the exam. Where and when do I check the results of TANATA 2022?
You can check the results on the official website of Anna University. They will release a scorecard which you need to use during the Counselling process. The results are generally out after one or two weeks of the exam.
What is the Counselling process for the TANATA exam?
Only those students who pass the cut-off marks are eligible for counselling. Students will have to pay for counselling to participate in it. The counselling will be held offline. The counselling will decide the final seat allotment of the student along with document verification.
Can I use the TANATA score to apply for B.Arch outside Tamil Nadu?
No. The scorecard is only valid for B.Arch colleges in Tamil Nadu.
How is the seat allotment done in the Counselling process?
