THEME 1: Development of principles of behaviors and mental processes.
As psychology is a multidisciplinary subject it uses various principles and scientific techniques for assessing behaviors and mental processes. Here, the objective is to make the principles and methods generalized for everyone and in every situation.
So, in psychological researches scientists or psychologists conduct their work through regularized order by organizing controlled groups and experimental groups. So the prediction of result is appropriate for formulating principles and theories of behaviors and mental processes.
THEME 2: Human behavior has a cause and effect relationship with the attributes of persons’ and environment.
In psychology while conducting experiments at first the step is to make a design of that experiment. In the particular design there is a significant direction given that human behavior has a stimulus response effect. The stimulus is in the first position, then comes the organism and at last position comes response. So human behavior can be said it is dependent upon the stimulus. Not only the stimulus as well as with the environment and heredity or personality of a person also., because behavior is the result of both characteristics or personality of an individual and secondly the factors which are responsible outside the individuals’ body or in the environment.
Psychologists try to make these generalized for establishing a universal conclusion but the individual difference is the factor which they can’t deny.
THEME 3: Behavior is a causal factor.
Th above discussed theme leads to the development of theme 3, which can be accounted that individuals’ behavior is caused by some factors. Correspondingly not only the individual differences are main causes but many other variables are responsible for the outcome of the action.
THEME 4: Understanding of human behavior through the perspectives.
Early times, psychologists described the human behaviorism through the perspectives of the ancient times. It was biased towards the male version, but later on with such evolution and modification it consists both sided approaches of male and female versions. Not only the behavior of male is discussed even the behavior of women is described with logical reasoning and setting them up for generalized ideas or perspectives, not inclining to the gender roles or gender stereotyping.
THEME 5: Modification and controlling of human behavior by applying psychological theories and principles.
People who are rendering services to the society as a psychologist their objective is mainly to intervene to the experiences of other people for changing or controlling their behaviors. By opting psychology as a subject they choose the varied branches and corresponding to those branches they apply or utilize the theories and principles for the modification and changing of behavior of an individual in various fields.
