Introduction
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal to conduct various Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) for admission to institutions spread across the state.
Every year, WBJEEB conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for admission to many private and government undergraduate engineering and pharmacy institutions in West Bengal. Candidates who get qualifying marks in the exam can seek admission to universities, government colleges, and self-financed institutes of West Bengal.
Candidates have to take both papers – Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry-together) for engineering. One who takes only Paper-II will get admission only in the pharmacy courses. Medical admissions will be done through NEET-UG, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
WBJEE Exam 2022
The WBJEEB will conduct the entrance test to the undergraduate courses in the fields like engineering and pharmacy on April 23, 2022. The online applications will be accepted from December 24, 2021, to January 10, 2022. After that, the registered candidates can download their WBJEE admit card from April 18 to 23, 2022.
WBJEE Eligibility
A candidate must be 17 years of age or more and should be a citizen of india.
Engineering aspirants must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of chemistry/biotechnology/biology/computer
Pharmacy candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics/biology as compulsory subjects.
WBJEE Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 500 + GST for General Candidates
The application fee is Rs 400 + GST for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B
WBJEE Admit Card
On April 25, 2022, WBJEEB released the WBJEE 2022 Admit Card. The admit card must be downloaded and printed from the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates can download their WBJEE 2022 Admit Card by following the steps below:
WBJEE’s official website is wbjeeb.nic.in.
Select the “Download the Admit Card” option.
In the login portal, enter your application number and password.
The Admit Card will appear on your screen after you click the submit button.
Examine all the information and download it.
WBJEE Preparation
There are many students participating in this examination every year. So to prepare well for the examination, some of the key points that might help are:
Know the Exam Pattern and syllabus mentioned by the site.
Know the weightage of each subject and topics within the subject.
Make a schedule
Give a weekly test from websites like embibe.
Analysis of your weekly test.
Know your mistakes and strengths.
Improve the part where you are weak.
Have a Healthy food cycle.
A good sleep is a must.
Practice previous year question papers.

WBJEE Answer Key
WBJEEB releases the WBJEE answer key within a month after the exam is conducted. The WBJEE answer key will be accessible on the official website. The board will also accept the challenges against the final answer key and candidates have to pay Rs 500 per question plus the bank charges.
WBJEE Result
The WBJEEB will announce the WBJEE result in May 2022 (Tentative). The results will be provided in the form of a rank card. The candidate should enter their login ID and password to check their WBJEE 2022 result. Candidates will find all the details about the score and paper on their rank card.
WBJEE Cut-Off
Candidates have to secure least marks to become eligible for taking part in the WBJEE counseling and seat allocation process. The organizing body will release the cut-off score for both papers. The cut-off score will be separate from each field such as engineering and pharmacy. Candidates who have appeared only for Paper-II and scored above the cut-off score will get Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). One who appeared for both the papers and scored above the cut-off score will get General Merit Rank (GMR) and PMR. The institute’s cut-off score will be different based on the category and course.
WBJEE Counseling
To be admitted to an institute and course of their choice, candidates need to attend the WBJEE 2022 counseling process. The verification of the documents and other procedures will be done during the WBJEE counseling 2022. No admission will be provided without undergoing the WBJEE counseling.
A separate notification will be released soon with details of counseling/seat allotment and admission on the official website after the announcement of the results. Candidates are advised to visit the official website ( www.wbjeeb.in) to track the latest updates. The course-wise and institute-wise availability of seats to be provided by the Competent Authorities will also be published before counseling and allotment.
