Solution: water can be found in three different states during water cycle:
Solid (ice and hail)
Liquid (regular water)
Gas (vapour).
Gaseous state: water evaporates from the surface of water bodies and mixes with air forming a gaseous mixture of water vapours and air.
Liquid state: when water vapour condenses high up in the atmosphere (clouds), falls on the surface of the earth as rain.
Solid state: freezing of liquid droplets in the upper layer of atmosphere form snow, hail or sleet.
