Margie and Tommy had mechanical teachers. They had large black screens on which all the lessons and questions were shown.  These mechanical teachers in comparison with human teachers had a slot in which the students had to put their homework and test papers. The answers are to be written in punch code language and their marks are calculated immediately by the teacher. Their schools are at their homes only. They do not have any classmates. Margie and Tommy both learned subjects like geography, history, and arithmetic. They had regular classes every day and at the same time. Margie’s school was next to her bedroom. The mechanical teacher always gets on and starts teaching at the same time every day except on the days of  Saturdays and Sundays because Margie’s mother thought that little girls learn better when they study at the same time every day.
