Solution:The two types of development in organisms include direct development and indirect development.


              Direct development 

              Indirect development

  • Embryo directly develops into mature ones without having a larval stage

  • Embryo has a larval stage before developing into adult

  • Organisms show metamorphosis

  • Organisms have a rich yolk sac during development of foetus

  • Organisms do not contain rich yolk sac during development of foetus

  • Presence of complete reproductive organs at the time of birth

  • Complete reproductive organs not present at the time of birth

  • Offsprings show resemblances to their parents

  • Offsprings do not show resemblances to their parents

  • Low number of eggs are produced by organisms

  • High number of eggs are produced by organisms

  • Direct development is seen in birds,reptiles
