Solution:The correct statement is option c

Prokaryotes are organisms that lack membrane bound organelles.Presence of membrane bound organelles is a feature of eukaryotes.Eukaryotes contain cell organelles like mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum,Golgi bodies, chloroplasts, nucleus etc.

Ribosomes are non membrane bound organelles found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

Functions of cell organelles

  • Nucleus-Act as a control centre to regulate cellular activities of cell

  • Endoplasmic reticulum-Transport of materials

  • Mitochondria-Aerobic respiration

  • Chloroplast-Trapping of light energy to carry out photosynthesis

  • Ribosomes-Synthesis of proteins

  • Golgi bodies-Packing of materials
