Given parameters

Energy consumed by the lamp = 1000 J

Time = 10 s

We need to find the power of the lamp.

Power can be defined as the rate of doing work; it is the work done in unit time. The SI unit of power is Watt (W) which is joules per second (J/s).

Power = Work/Time

P = W/t

Work done is the same as the energy consumed by the lamp.

Put the above values in the power formula; we get the power of the lamp.

P= 1000/10

P =100 W

∴ The power of the lamp is 100 W
