AGRICULTURE SECTORS

Before independence India was mainly dependent on agriculture. But with arrival of British government Indian agriculture has seen the worst scenario and a phase of continous stagnation. British government at that time introduced a large number of land settlement and commercialization of agriculture because of these two low productivity prevail in the agriculture system. Agriculture which was the backbone of Indian economy suffered because of colonial rule.
