From many ages there are many professions or services which are done for the system to work efficiently and uninterrupted. Professions like there are doctors, plumbers, electricians, labour, shopkeepers, landlords, moneylenders and the most important Engineers.

Some people have interests in work which brings them to engineering field and some other people become engineer or doctor under pressure of their parents. Its like parent’s dream from long time to make their children an engineer.

Assume a life without engineers, where we don’t have roads to travel on or mobile phones to communicate or water supply , electricity supply we are getting in our homes. All the things including mobile phones, our houses, vehicles we travel with or road we travel on or laptops we work on or television are invented or proposed by engineers.

Engineers are of many types, Some of the well known engineers are : 

  1. Electrical Engineer

  2. Civil Engineer 

  3. Computer Engineer ( hardware and software )

  4. Chemical Engineer

To become a good engineer with best of the knowledge in his or her field one must study from a good engineering college.

Each and every reputed engineering college have either its own engineering entrance exam like that of IITs or they consider scores of other engineering exams to check if the candidate qualifies for their institution.

So lets see the top 5 Engineering Exams:

  1. JEE :

JEE stands for joint entrance exam. JEE have two levels one is JEE mains and other is JEE advanced. When a candidate clears his or her JEE mains then he or she qualifies to give JEE advanced exam which is an enhanced version which can be interpreted by the name only.

JEE is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE is conducted four times a year and it’s a national level examination.

JEE application fees for general is 650 Rs and registration proceeds online .

JEE is given online on its allocated testing centres. Duration of JEE is 3 hours.

  1. VITEEE :

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by vellore institue of technology itself. With a frequency of once a year, VITEEE is University Level Exam which is conducted online. 

VITEEE application fees for general category is 1150 Rs. Its duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes

  1. SRMJEEE :

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted by SRM University for a total of 3 times per year.

It is a university level examination. SRMJEEE can be given in both online and offline. Its application fees is 1100 Rs for offline mode and its duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

  1. BITSAT  :

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is conducted by Birla Institute itself. This is a university level exam which is given online. Its application fees is 3400 Rs for general category. Duration of this exam is 3 hours.

  1. MET Exam :

Manipal Entrance Test conducted by Academy of higher Education once per year.

MET is a University Level Exam conducted online with an application fees of 2000 Rs. Registrations are done online.

Duration of MET for B.Tech is 2 hours and 18 minutes
