Ans. The following is the procedure for selecting a random sample of three students from a class of ten:


1. Assign a number from 1 to 10 to each of the ten students, such as 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10.


2. Pick a number at random. Let us suppose the number chosen is 05.


3. Refer to the Two-Digit Random Number Table; the remaining two students are two numbers that are either horizontally or vertically successive to the selected random number (i.e. 05). (i.e. 06 and 07).
