Reproduction

Reproduction is a characteristic feature of all the living beings. The process by which a living being reproduce and produce organisms of  its same type is called reproduction.

It is a very important process for each and every species because the lineage of any species continues due to it. Apart from being a important process for a particular individual it is also important for thw whole of ecosysytem. It helps in maintaining a proper balance among existing biotic constituents. Moreover, it also facilitates evolution because due to reproduction over generations variations arise.

Organisms reproduce to continue the chain of life, to pass on their genes which are acquired over a generation. The existence of life on earth is possible due to the reproduction of species. Different organisms reproduce in different ways.
