Solution:The use of the word culture in social science differs from the everyday use of the word culture. From a social science perspective, the word culture is used for an entire society however, in everyday life culture is used for an individual.

In a sociological way, a culture is seen as ‘the whole way of life of a people’. The culture of a society is the way of life of its members; the collection of ideas and habits which they learn, share and transmit from generation to generation. However in everyday life culture refers to the individual’s liking for music, folk songs, art, folk dances, etc.

Sociological understanding defines culture as a way of life in which all the members of a society share common knowledge, belief, art, morals, laws, customs and transmit it from generation to generation.
