Solution:In humans, the sex of a child is determined genetically. The genes inherited from the parents of the child are responsible for sex determination of the child.

Humans contain 22 pair of  autosomes and 1 pair of sex chromosomes that is a total of 46 chromosomes.Girl child have homologous XX chromosomes and male child have heterozygous XY chromosomes.A child who receives X chromosome from father will be a girl and child who receives Y chromosome from father will be boy.
