Ultrasound is typically used for cleaning parts situated in hard-to-reach places such as spiral tubes, electronic parts and many more. Objects that are to be cleaned are placed in a cleaning solution wherein the ultrasonic waves are passed through the solution. This high-frequency sound of the ultrasound waves causes the dirt to get detached from the object, hence getting cleaned completely.

Other uses of ultrasound

  • Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body.
  •  It is used to help diagnose the causes of pain, swelling and infection in the body’s internal organs
  • Used to examine a baby in pregnant women and the brain and hips in infants.
  • It’s also used to help guide biopsies, diagnose heart conditions, and assess damage after a heart attack.
