Details about the College

Khalsa College was established by the leaders of the Singh Sabha Movement, and is one of the most iconic and legendary educational institutes of Amritsar. It is a constituent college of Guru Nanak Dev University [GNDU], which aims to provide academic knowledge to students of all abilities and backgrounds and introduce them to the world of technological and scientific education. The college offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate Research programs, Diplomas, and Ph.D. programmes to the students.

 Khalsa College Admission Procedure and Criteria

• Each programme at Khalsa College has a separate set of requirements for admission. To be accepted into the college, applicants must show up for admission exams or interviews.
• Candidates can submit their applications offline by downloading the forms from the website.
• Entrance exams, merit-based admission, and direct admission are the criteria used for UG, PG, and M. Phil. course admission.
• Admission decisions are made based on the results of entrance exams for the fields of agriculture, food technology, physics, and chemistry.
• Based on the results of the admission exam, applicants are admitted to the BA in Social Sciences programme.
• Candidates are chosen based on merit for the Botany, Zoology, BMM, MPT, and M.Sc. (Biotech) programmes.
• Direct admission is available for programmes in computer science and IT as well as B.Com, BBA, MA, and BCA.
• Diploma and Postgraduate Graduate Diploma admissions are done based on the excellence in the qualifying examination.
• The results of the entrance exam determine who gets admitted to the M.Phil. programme.

Khalsa College was designed by Ram Singh, famous during the British Raj in an Indo-Saracenic style. The College is strongly influenced by traditional Indian and Mughal schools of Architecture.
