About the Scholarship

The Lady Meherbai Scholarship 2022 is a scholarship for girls in India who have graduated from reputed universities. The Scholarship provides financial aid to girls if they pursue higher studies abroad. Students who did their graduation in the following disciplines can apply

• LLB (Specializing only in laws related to women and children)
• Sociology
• Psychology
• B.Ed
• Education in the welfare of children 
• Health Policy and Health Education (including Mental health)
• Development and Nutrition of Children
• Gender Studies: Issues like violence against women and children (domestic violence etc.) Issues concerning single women, single mothers, and married women.
• Study on Adolescents 
• Public Health: Epidemiology, Reproductive Health, and Community Health Services
• Study of Social norms in communities
• Study on Sustainable Development, Social Development, Community Development, Rural Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, and Social Policy with a focus on Women and Children’s issues.
• Social work on women in prison.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship

• The Lady Meherbai Scholarship 2022 is for girls in India who have graduated from a reputed University.
• Must have a remarkable academic record.
• Must have applied for higher studies in well-known Universities in Countries like the UK, the US, or Europe in 2022-23.
• Students with work experience of 2 years will be given more preference.

Application Procedure of the Scholarship 

• Students who fit the eligibility criteria must send a request for an application form on this email. Students also need to send the following documents/information:

1. The course name and the duration
2. Colleges/universities they wish to attend along with the letter of admission (if available)
3. The course fees
4. Funding Sources
5. CV/Resume
6. PAN Card

• The trust will send an email to the students they have shortlisted after careful consideration.
• Partly filled application forms or the inability to send all the information will result in the elimination of the application.
• Those who are shortlisted must submit a “Proof of Funds” or a “Financial Capacity” document that confirms the student’s ability to afford the education.

Interview Process of the Scholarship

The selected students will attend an online or an offline interview with the board of trustees on a given date in July.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The Lady Meherbai Scholarship 2022 will provide financial aid of Rs 3 lacs to 6 lacs to cover the course fees. The amount will depend on the student’s academic performance in their graduation.

No. The Lady Meherbai Scholarship is only for students applying for full-time offline courses.

No. You’re eligible only if you pursue higher studies in any European country or the US.

• Are Indian men eligible for this scholarship?

No. This Scholarship is only for Indian women who have completed their graduation.

• What are the benefits of this scholarship?

You get a financial aid of Rs 3 lacs to 6 lacs, depending on your academic performance in graduation.
