INTRODUCTION TO THE CHAPTER
-Suminder Kaur, Academic content writer at Edumarz
Living creatures are organisms that exhibit all aspects of life, such as growth, movement, reproduction, and breathing.
Cells create tissues, tissues form organs, organs form organ systems, and organ systems constitute a live body, and this organization should be maintained by the flow of molecules around all the time, as all structures are made up of molecules.
Life processes are the maintenance functions that occur even while organisms are at rest in order to keep them alive.
To stay alive, one must engage in essential life functions such as nutrition, breathing, transportation, and excretion.
