What is JEE Main?

 

The Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main), formerly known as the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), is an Indian computer-based test that is used to determine admission to various technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture and planning at colleges throughout India. The JEE Apex Board administers the exam. Admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and other programs at premier technical institutes such as the National Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Information Technology is based on the rank obtained in the JEE-Main. It is typically held twice a year.




Exam Information

 

  • B.E./B.Tech (Paper 1): Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics – parts 1, 2, and 3 – are only administered via computer-based testing.
  • B.Arch (Paper 2): Parts 1 and 2 of the Mathematics and Aptitude Test are held in Computer Based Test mode only. While Part 3 of the Drawing Test is held offline on a drawing sheet.
  • B.Planning (Paper 3): Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning Based Questions – parts 1, 2, and 3 – are only administered via Computer Based Test.



About Session 2

 

Today, the National Testing Agency reopened the JEE Main 2022 application form for session 2. (July 11). The session 2 JEE Main 2022 registration will be open until July 12th (11 PM). Candidates can register for JEE Main 2022 for the July session at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2022. The dates for the NTA JEE Main 2022 exam for session 2 are July 21 to July 30.



How To Apply?

 

Step 1: Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

 

Step 2: On the homepage, click the link that says “Registration for JEE (Main Session 2) 2022.”

 

Step 3: A new page will appear.

 

Step 4: Select ‘New registration’.

 

Step 5: Fill out the required information and apply online.

 

Step 6: Following registration, an application number will be generated.

 

Step 7: Fill out the application form with the generated application number and password.

 

Step 8: Pay the application fees.

 

Step 9: Save and download the PDF.



Application Fees

 

The fees for JEE Main 2022 session 2 are as follows:

  • 650 rupees for unreserved/OBC male candidates
  • Female candidates from the unreserved/OBC category will be charged Rs. 325.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories are to pay Rs. 325.



Application Correction

 

From April 6 to 8, NTA made the application correction window for JEE Main 2022 aspirants online. Students who entered incorrect information in their JEE Main application form 2022 or candidates with defects in uploaded images can take advantage of this service. To use the correction facility, they must use their JEE Main candidate login. Students were required to pay an additional fee to modify the details, whereas some details will be available for free modification. The following information is modifiable:

 

  • Personal Information: Spelling errors in names, parents’ names, and so on can be corrected.
  • Academic Details: In this section, you can correct your school information, year of graduation, and qualifying exam.
  • Paper Change: The selection of paper can be altered. From Paper 1 to 2. Or else Paper 2 to 1. Candidates who have applied for one paper but wish to apply for both papers must pay the balance fee.
  • Exam Centers: Candidates will not be able to change their exam location.
  • The language of the examination can be changed to English/Hindi/Gujarati. According to the candidates’ comfort. 
  • Candidates can also change their name, state and date of birth.
