Solution: d) All of the Above

The human brain can be divided into three main parts – the cerebrum, cerebellum, and medulla oblongata. Of these, the cerebrum is responsible for thinking and other cognitive activities. The cerebellum coordinates body movements and help maintain equilibrium. It controls the involuntary movement of the body and maintains balance. Regulation of heartbeat is mediated by the cardiac centre in the nuclei the medulla oblongata, which is one of its vital centres. Thus, all the mentioned functions are brought about by the brain as a whole.
