About VITEEE

VITEEE is an engineering entrance exam conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology. This entrance test is organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology each year for students who are seeking admission to various undergraduate courses. All the suitable applicants will be provided admission to B.Tech programs at the institutes of Amravati, Vellore, and Chennai.

Eligibility criteria

Nationality

  • Applicants should be a resident of India, NRI, or a person of Indian origin.

  • VITEEE applicants who are studying abroad can apply directly through the foreign category by filing a separate application on the VIT website.

Age Limit

  • The VITEEE 2022 test will be available to applicants born on or after 1st July 1998. A student’s official date of birth must appear on school records like certificates to be considered valid.

  • Original certificates should be produced at the time of VITEEE counselling. Candidates who fail to follow these instructions will not be eligible.

Subject Eligibility

  • Applicants who have selected Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude for the VITEEE 2022 test are qualified for BTech programs.

  • Those applicants who have opted for subjects such as Biology, Physics, and Chemistry along with English and Aptitude shall be qualified for Bio Stream programs such as BTech Biotechnology, BTech Bioengineering, etc. 

Qualifying Examination

  • Applicants must qualify for 10+2 final examinations under CBSE, State Board, or the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) and must have secured at least  60% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • NIOS candidates may also apply for VITEEE, provided they submit a migration certificate at the time they join.

  • If an applicant is an SC/ST or a North Eastern state applicant from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, or Tripura, he/she must score 50% in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Biology.

  • Community certificates are required for counselling. Individuals without proper certificates will not be allowed to apply.
