Solution: Respiration is a process defined as a movement of oxygen from the outside of the environment     into the cell and removal of carbon dioxide from the inner environment of the cell.

Aerobic respiration

Anaerobic respiration

Aerobic respiration is defined as a process where energy is required for the survival of the organism involved in respiration .

Anaerobic respiration is defined as a process where energy is not required to proceed the reaction .

The whole process of respiration take place in the mitochondria and cytoplasm

For the anaerobic process respiration take place inside the cytoplasm only

Gases are exchanged in the form of respiration

Gases are exchanged in the form of respiration except oxygen

Inside the cell food which contain glucose, is broke down into carbon dioxide and water with the help of oxygen

During anaerobic process glucose breaks down into ethyl alcohol, carbon dioxide and energy

All higher organisms have this type of respiration

All lower organisms use this type of respiration

Eg : Mammals

Eg: bacteria, yeast
