Solution: Plants use more different types of excretion methods when compared to animals.

  • Excess water stored in the plants is removed by a process called transpiration.

  • Tissues having dead cells are lost as leaves.

  • Plant cells are characterised by large vacuoles.Vacuoles are used to store waste materials.

  • Like vacuoles,waste materials are also stored in leaves and they fall off.

  • In the old xylem portion of the plant, waste is stored as resins and gums.

  • Plants also excrete some waste materials directly into soil.
