(i) Before going to his office, Kezia’s father would go into her room to give her a casual forehead kiss.
(ii) After coming from his office, he would order his wife to bring tea into the drawing-room along with the newspaper and his slippers. He would also ask Kazia to take off his boots.
(iii) On Sundays, Kazia’s father would take a rest on the sofa, keep his feet on one of the cushions, cover his face with a handkerchief and sleep vociferously.
