Plant hormones

Plant hormones are also called phytohormones. These are chemical substances that help plants in their growth, development, and adaptation to environmental changes. The major plant hormones include Auxin, Gibberellin, Cytokinins, and Abscisic acid. Hormones like auxin and gibberellin promote the growth of plants, while abscisic acid inhibits growth in plants.

Auxin is a hormone that helps in the growth of plants, gibberellin helps in elongation of the stem region, cytokinin helps in cell division processes, and abscisic acid inhibits growth and forms senescence.
