By: Karan/ Kirti
L.M. Memorial public school is a school in Dwarka. Last week, the principal of that school read an article in a newspaper about a village near Dwarka. The news article said parents of that village are not sending their children to school because of poverty. It worried the principal. He visited the village and convinced the parents to send their children to school. But the parents replied that they don’t have money to buy basic things necessary for their children to go to school.
So the principal adopted the village as a social responsibility and brought school children to teach the village children regularly every day. It created a positive impact on both school children and village children. The school children told us that, to educate the village children, they prepare notes and, it helps them to understand the concepts more deeply. They also told it revealed their teaching skill in them. Village children were also happy that they were able to read and write.
